In the Talas region, in the Manas district, there is an annual increase in the number of farmers engaged in breeding livestock. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, there are currently 48 cooperatives actively working here, focusing on the breeding of both meat and dairy cattle.
Recently, the cooperative "Nogoybay Ata" joined this numerical group, which is engaged in the breeding of Auliakol breed cows. This breed is distinguished by its outstanding endurance to cold climatic conditions and high productivity in meat production. For example, calves at the age of 10 months can weigh over 500 kilograms, and cows older than two years have a live weight of more than one ton.
According to the Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, Bakyt Torobaev, as part of the implementation of the strategy "from quantity to quality," farmers are provided with comprehensive support from the state. In particular, last year, 8 new cooperatives were established in the Manas district.
In addition, two breeding farms successfully passed certification in 2025, one of which specializes in breeding Aberdeen-Angus meat cows, while the other focuses on Holstein-Friesian dairy cows.
The development of breeding livestock, as noted, contributes to an increase in the production volumes of both meat and dairy products, which, in turn, leads to an increase in farmers' incomes and strengthens the food security of the region.
