As a result of the price analysis for the period from January 15 to January 21, 2026, the price of AI-95 gasoline decreased from 80.83 soms per liter on January 15 to 79.49 soms on January 21, which is a reduction of 1.34 soms.
The decrease also affected AI-92 gasoline. If on January 15 its average price was 75.54 soms per liter, by January 21 it fell to 74.38 soms, indicating a decrease of 1.16 soms.
Diesel fuel also became cheaper. During the same period, its price dropped from 80.26 soms to 78.86 soms per liter, which amounts to 1.4 soms.

As reported by the State Anti-Monopoly Agency, the decrease in fuel prices in January has become a regular annual practice: prices usually rise at the end of the year, and a decrease is observed in January. The graphs below show the changes in prices for AI-92 and diesel fuel in Bishkek from the beginning of 2024 to the present.
According to the data, starting from December 2025, when the price was 76.4 soms per liter, there has been an overall decrease of 3 soms per liter.
Additionally, according to the data, the price of diesel fuel has decreased by 3 soms per liter.
AI-92 gasoline, diesel fuel, and liquefied hydrocarbon gas are included in the list of socially significant goods, according to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic dated September 8, 2023, No. 455 "On State Regulation of Prices for Socially Significant Goods".
"The import of petroleum products into the Kyrgyz Republic is carried out in accordance with the current intergovernmental agreement between the ministries of energy of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation. The Republic depends on the import of fuel and lubricants and, accordingly, on the prices for wholesale supplies from Russia. The annual demand for petroleum products is about 1.4 million tons," the press service of the State Anti-Monopoly Agency reported.
The Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic informed that as a result of negotiations between the ministries of energy of the two countries, amendments were made to the indicative balance of petroleum product supplies for 2025. The volume of diesel fuel supplies was increased by 100,000 tons, amounting to 650,000 tons instead of 550,000 tons, while other types of petroleum products remained unchanged.
The indicative balance for 2026 will be approved at the 2025 level with possible adjustments depending on actual consumption. The following volumes of petroleum product supplies have been established:
- gasoline – 650,000 tons;
- diesel fuel – 650,000 tons.
