In the Talas Region, residents are cleaning a 289 km drainage system themselves due to a lack of distribution of responsibility among government agencies, - deputy
According to him, many drainage channels remain open, leading to their pollution and siltation.
“The Ministry of Agriculture claims that cleaning should be carried out by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, while the Ministry of Emergency Situations refers to the Ministry of Agriculture. As a result, residents have started cleaning the channels themselves, as spring fieldwork will soon begin,” noted the deputy.
Ulukbek Uzakbaev emphasized that the lack of clear distribution of responsibilities among government agencies forces farmers to clear the channels on their own to protect their crops from flooding and soil salinization.
Additionally, he raised the issue of electricity restrictions in the Suusamyr Valley and several villages in the Talas district.
The deputy appealed to the government to increase the limit from the current 3 kW, as this amount is insufficient to ensure normal heating of homes and household needs during the winter period, when temperatures can drop to -30 degrees.
