Kyrgyzstan will receive duty-free fuel from Russia in full — oil traders

The head of the Association of Oil Traders of Kyrgyzstan, Kanatbek Eshatov, shared with IA "Kabar" information about the reasons for the slight decrease in prices for gasoline and diesel fuel. According to him, at the moment, the market is selling off the remaining fuel produced last year, while prices for the current year are still being formed. He also reported that Kyrgyzstan will be able to receive all the necessary volume of fuel and lubricants from Russia on preferential terms.
“The indicative balance for duty-free supplies of gasoline and diesel fuel to Kyrgyzstan is set at last year's level. However, if there is a need for additional volumes in the first half of the year, we will be able to adjust the quota,” he noted.

As for fuel prices, there is a seasonal decrease of 1-1.5 soms. This is due to the fact that Russian refineries reduced wholesale prices for remaining fuel before the New Year holidays at the end of December. From January 15, the plants resumed operations, and new quotes for February are expected at the end of the month. After that, it will be possible to more accurately forecast changes in retail prices,” Eshatov added.
