The deputy proposes to consider India as a new market for bean sales.
The parliamentarian reported that the disasters impacted about 800 hectares of land where beans and wheat were grown, resulting in damages amounting to 55 million soms.
“Farmers need assistance, but they have not received it yet. They are facing difficulties in repaying loans and debts,” noted Jumabekov.
He also expressed concern about the ongoing decline in purchase prices for beans, which exacerbates the financial situation of farmers in the region.
As one solution to the problem, the deputy suggested considering the possibility of opening a new market for beans in India, where, according to him, there is an opportunity to sell products at favorable prices. This would require the preparation of necessary documents and certification.
Dastan Jumabekov urged the government to provide support through the Kyrgyz Embassy in India to simplify the export process and address documentation-related issues.
