According to the Xinhua agency, citing information from the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, in 2025, the trade volume between China and the Central Asian states increased by 12 percent.

Trade and economic relations between China and this region demonstrate significant progress: the total trade volume reached 106.3 billion dollars, which is a 12 percent increase compared to 2024.

This is the first time that the trade volume has exceeded 100 billion dollars, confirming a stable positive trend over the past five years. Last year, China became the largest trading partner for the Central Asian countries for the first time.

Exports to the region increased by 11 percent, amounting to 71.2 billion dollars, mainly due to the growth in the production of machinery, electrical products, and high technologies.

Imports also showed positive dynamics, increasing by 14 percent to 35.1 billion dollars. The success of trade is attributed to established cooperation in the field of cross-border payments.

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce plans to continue working on optimizing the trade structure, developing new business models, and creating effective institutional mechanisms.
