He noted that at the end of December, Russian oil refineries traditionally offer seasonal discounts on fuel.
“This time, at the end of December, wholesale prices for fuel and lubricants have slightly decreased. As a result, some companies have signed contracts for the purchase of certain volumes of fuel. These batches have already arrived in Kyrgyzstan, and at a number of gas stations, the price has dropped by 1 som or even more,” Eshatov added.
Moreover, he indicated that new prices will be established soon, so it is currently difficult to predict the further dynamics of fuel prices in the country.
“Russian plants have resumed operations. Based on the proposed wholesale prices, it will become clear how the cost will be formed in the future. Retail prices in Kyrgyzstan will be determined based on this information,” the association representative explained.
