Chinese Investments in Central Asia Continue to Grow for the Last 9 Years
From 2016 to 2025, the volume of accumulated foreign direct investments (FDI) from China to Central Asian countries increased from $19.6 billion to $35.9 billion.
At the "Central Asia - China" summit, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced a grant of 1.5 billion yuan ($205 million) to support the countries in the region.
EDB analysts note: "These agreements emphasize that China continues to integrate private investments with institutional support, which strengthens its economic presence in Central Asia."
