The Manufacturing Industry Attracts Chinese Investors in the Eurasian Region
EDB analysts have identified several key areas that are of interest for Chinese investments in this region:
manufacturing industry,
energy, including renewable energy sources,
transport and logistics,
agricultural industry.
The manufacturing sector is becoming the center of a new industrial model for Eurasia, including areas such as: machine engineering, metallurgy, chemical industry, as well as oil and gas processing.
The authors of the study emphasize that for China, this provides an opportunity to localize part of the production processes closer to sources of raw materials and markets, as well as to use industrial cooperation to deepen economic ties with the countries of Eurasia.
“The manufacturing sector can provide countries in the region with significant potential for export growth, import substitution, and increased production volumes, which could amount to hundreds of billions of dollars annually,” noted
