In the Chui Region, industrial, tourism, and residential complexes will be built in cluster zones.
The expanded staff meeting was held under the leadership of the presidential envoy in the region, Azamat Osmonov, and gathered district akims, city mayors, and heads of rural administrations.
At the meeting, the envoy noted that "2026 must become a time of clear actions, personal responsibility, and a unified approach to managing the region." During the session, six large-scale projects aimed at developing the economy, social sphere, infrastructure, and ecology of the region were presented. All initiatives are directed towards the comprehensive development of the Chui region, creating attractive conditions for investors, supporting agriculture and business, developing tourism, improving the ecological situation, and modernizing infrastructure.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that each project has been assigned specific coordinators, with clear tasks, deadlines, and effectiveness criteria established. The fulfillment of the assigned tasks will be monitored monthly. Attention was also drawn to the importance of maintaining discipline, legality, and combating corruption. Each leader is responsible for the situation in their territory, and a formal approach to work is considered unacceptable.
According to the presidential envoy's office, for many years in the Chui Valley, industrial facilities and factories have often been built near residential areas, schools, and kindergartens, frequently violating sanitary norms. Regional authorities believe that such practices create serious ecological risks and may lead to economic, social, and ecological problems in the future.
That is why, starting from 2026, all new facilities must be located according to the cluster principle. When designing each new construction, zoning will be taken into account: heavy industry, tourist facilities, and residential complexes will be separated from each other.
The responsibility for ensuring compliance with these norms is assigned to akims, mayors, and heads of rural administrations. General plans for the development of territories must be developed taking into account the new cluster principle.
