The rate of 0% of the customs value will apply to natural calcium phosphates, aluminum-calcium phosphates, and ground phosphate chalk until February 29, 2028, inclusive.
Vaagn Kazaryan, Director of the Customs Tariff and Non-Tariff Regulation Department of the EEC, noted that the introduction of the zero rate will help optimize the loading of mineral fertilizer producers' capacities, especially in the context of limited phosphate volumes in the EAEU territory.
This decision will come into effect 30 days after its official publication.
According to the Decision of the EEC Board dated December 27, 2023, a temporary import customs duty rate of 0% on the specified goods was already in effect from January 5, 2024, to January 4, 2026.
