
The financial situation of citizens in Kyrgyzstan will undergo changes in 2026. Some groups of the population will see an increase in income, while others will face rising mandatory expenses. 24.kg has summarized the key measures and changes that will impact family budgets.

Introduction of New Benefits
Starting this year, families from mountainous regions will receive a new benefit. Each family will be provided with 3,000 soms monthly for the third and subsequent children until they reach the age of three.

Increase in Salaries
From April 1, salary increases are expected for doctors, teachers, methodologists, and social workers. In some cases, the increase may be up to 100%.
Additionally, from September 1, salary increases are planned for other categories of budget employees.

Increase in Pensions
The authorities intend to significantly increase pension amounts in October, although the exact figures for indexing have not yet been announced.

Ban on Additional Charges
As of January 1, a law has come into effect prohibiting the collection of additional fees in cafes and restaurants for service and dish presentation. All costs must be included in the prices listed on the menu.

Tax Benefits
The Jogorku Kenesh has approved a bill that introduces tax benefits for citizens and businesses. In particular, it is proposed to exempt from taxes on transactions involving the purchase and sale of cars, as well as to reduce mandatory payments for the sewing sector.

Import of Electric Vehicles Duty-Free
In 2026, Kyrgyzstan will have the opportunity for duty-free import of up to 15,000 electric vehicles and hybrids, starting from January 22.

Increase in Electricity Prices
From May 1, electricity tariffs will increase. For the population, the cost of 1 kilowatt-hour will be 1.64 soms, which is 27 tyiyns higher than before.

Increase in Utility Tariffs
This year, heating and hot water prices are likely to rise again. An increase in other utility services is also possible.

Inflation Persists
Inflation in Kyrgyzstan remains high. In addition to tariffs, prices for food, non-food goods, and services are rising. Stopping this process does not seem possible at the moment.
