Artificial Intelligence Used in Tax Audits in Kyrgyzstan
In its report, the GU "Salyk Service" highlighted its work since its establishment.
Over the past four years, numerous digital solutions have been implemented, including the digitization of all types of tax reports and the ability to pay taxes remotely through the platform cabinet.salyk.kg and the Salyk mobile application. In 2025, a data analytics tool called "Kezet" was introduced into the system, which significantly improved the accuracy and depth of tax data processing, as reported in the press release.
In 2026, further implementation of AI in tax audit processes is planned, which should automate the work of tax inspectors and increase the transparency of their activities.Director of the state institution Shamsybek Kachkynbay uulu noted that the main problems for taxpayers were the time spent on filling out tax reports, submitting declarations, and the need for personal visits to tax authorities for tax payments.
“Our goal is to eliminate these inconveniences identified by the tax service. We believe that our citizens are already beginning to feel the benefits of digital solutions that save time and money in tax reporting,” he added.
The GNS also emphasized that according to the World Bank, in 2025, the tax payment process in Kyrgyzstan became the fastest among all types of tax administration. From 2012 to 2023, the process of calculating taxes took seven times longer than the payment process itself, which is a significant achievement for the tax service of Kyrgyzstan, as stated in the message.
